A little about us:

Hi! My name is Michelle. I grew up in Stockton, CA and have lived in Cali my entire life. I grew up with a fairly small family consisting of me, my big sister, mom, dad, and extended family. Nowadays I have a huge, crazy blended family that I love very much. In my free time, I like to mess around on the guitar and piano, doodle, and play the video games [read as: GAEMZ]. My work and schooling have been in Early Childhood Education. I have a passion for young children and helping them grow and develop. So far, my teaching career has been spent at a Reggio-Emilia-inspired Center, which focused on the importance of community, inclusion, self-reflection, and getting in touch with nature.

My husband Will served in the United States Marine Corps and as a Civil Servant for the Department of Defense. In both roles, his work was centered around IT and Cyber Security. After many years of contemplation and research, he felt he needed a change of pace and wanted to take a crack at mini-farming (If he writes something, it'll show up in green).

We both have a love and appreciation for nature and are looking to become self-sustainable, ecologically responsible, and happy~

The journey:

Currently we are traveling cross-country in search of greener pastures (and cheaper land) to start our mini-farm. We're documenting all the sights we see along the way and eventually we'll focus on our hunt for land, the building process, livestock and plant selection, and everything else along the way!
